Christian Resources on Critical Race Theory (CRT)
What is Critical Race Theory (CRT)? How should Christians think about CRT?
More importantly, how shall Christians think about ethnocentric oppression and tension today and how shall they follow Christ in these days? As a pastor-theologian accountable before God for shepherding a local church of the Lord Jesus Christ, I answer this second question at least once a year at Bethany Baptist Church. This year I made the case for the existence of ethnocentric oppression and then teased out how Christians should love their neighbors faithfully in light of it.
Below are some resources for my church family and other Christians to work through to understand Critical Race Theory for the conversations happening amongst our neighbors and Christian communities today:
The Southern Baptist Convention’s resolutions: 2019 Resolution 9 “On Critical Race Theory And Intersectionality” | 2021 Resolution 2 “On The Sufficiency Of Scripture For Race And Racial Reconciliation”
