The Lord Jesus was gracious and kind to our family this year. We came off a hard last week of 2022 with the passing and burial of our preborn son, Rise Immanuel Tibayan.
Our family took a trip to San Francisco in the summer and to Yosemite in December. We finally got Disneyland passes and have gone a few times each month.
Rock, Key, Story, and City performed in the play The Little Mermaid this summer. Reed began ballet and performed in The Nutcracker in Long Beach this December. What a joy to see them all on stage! The girls are all still practicing piano and City is also learning the cello.
Our daughter Key, 15, publicly professed faith in Christ Jesus as her Lord, Savior, and Treasure and committed to Christ’s church through baptism. Story became a teenager and continues to be a voracious reader.
Rock, Frances, and PJ went to central Asia to visit and encourage some dearly loved missionary friends.
I took Key and Story to their first K-pop concert. I took Rock and Key to Minneapolis to get a closer look and feel for Bethlehem College since Rock is a senior in high school.
Many church members generously supported and sent Frances to learn effective trauma care in Nashville. She also participated in a biblical exposition workshop, gallivanted around DC, and visited a friend.
I (P. J.) went deep sea fishing, played a lot of pickle ball, biked around DC, smoked my first (and last?) cigar, through our church we started hosting a seminary, and touched LeBron James’s arm at a Laker game.
We pray that you (through personally trusting Jesus and repenting from your sin and your “goodness”) experience the hope, joy, and love of God this Christmas through Jesus Christ who came and was born to save his people from their sins through his birth, life, death, and resurrection.
¡Merry Christmas!
